The Tools
First of all, you will need the right tools to make sure that the end product will be of the highest quality. If you are a bit cheap, and end up saving money instead of purchasing ones that will make work possible, it is more than likely that you will have a boat which is going to be sinking as soon as it is in the water.
The Materials
Once you have the tools sorted out, move on to materials. It is basically the same principle. Cheap pays twice. Since it is going to be a wooden boat, make sure that you research the subject and find out what is the best wood for making boats. On top of that, you will need a lot more. Screws, glue, cardboard for making a template, and so forth.
The Planning
After you have everything ready, move on to the planning stage. Decide how you will be doing the work. You know, whether it will be a one hundred percent individual effort, or whether you will be asking for help. Again, both choices have pros and cons.
With help of others, it will be easier to finish the work as it will take less time. But if you decide to go completely solo, then you will go through the entire learning process yourself, giving you a lot of experience at the end of everything.
As you see, creating a wooden boat is a tough challenge that requires time and effort. Nonetheless, it can still be a fun experience, especially if you are tired of the same things that are happening throughout the day.
